How we Design

We will reach out to arrange a free informal visit to allow you to assess our portfolio and answer any questions you may have regarding our service .

We have a good understanding of current planning regulations and, whislt not experts, can offer general advice on items that may have a planning implications including garden buildings and tree preservation orders (TPO’S).

Modern garden design

The second stage would be for your designer to visit to carry out your design brief questionnaire. This is to ensure we understand your vision and needs in order to create your perfect garden. 

Your designer will also survey your garden which will include confirming dimensions, taking soil samples, cataloguing of all existing plants and trees, and carrying out an aspect test. Finally we will take video and images.

Following this meeting your designer will compile your “Design Brief” and send to you to ensure they have understood and included all the key components that will be included in your design portfolio and to ensure we design your perfect garden.

Once your designer has sign-off on the brief they will complete your design portfolio which will consist of:

  •  A hand drawn and coloured two-dimensional drawing (A2)
  •  A three-dimensional hand drawn and coloured artists impression of your finished garden (A3)
  •  Image mood board (A3)
  •  Lighting plan (A2)
  • A site clearance plan
  • Materials specification document and design dimensions plan
  • Proposed plant list and plan with descriptions and images of named individual plant varieties to be supplied (A4)
